Residential Garage Doors

Residental Garage DoorsChoosing the right door is an important part of making sure that the facade of the home is aethetically pleasing. We provide residential garage doors in several styles, allowing you to choose what door will best fit your home's decor.

The main function that garage doors provide is shelter for your vehicles, while also maintaining the aesthetic beauty of your home. Residential garage doors are an important part of the facade of the house, which means that the right garage door can enhance the 'curb appeal' of your home.To help you achieve both goals, we provide you with a variety of doors, with three primary options:

  • Wooden Garage Doors - Residential garage doors have a strong appeal because they allow you to achieve a natural look that is appealing to the eye, while also providing the garage with good insulation. The main drawback for this type of garage door is that the wood is more vulnerable to temperature changes, and can expand and contract in the long run until cracks appear.  But a simple re-paint or re-finish every year is an easy solution for keeping the door looking good despite seasonal weather changes.

  • Steel Garage Doors - These types of garage doors are sturdy and resilient, able to withstand seasonal weather changes, and maintain their quality over the long run.  The only drawback is that the metal can become malleable when the weather heats up, meaning that the garage door can dent easier when the temperature rises; customers can help to avoid this problem by asking for insulation with the garage door.  A simple paint job can ensure that these doors look similar to wooden doors.  These doors differ in quality because they are made out of steel, with the quality varying depending on the manufacturer.

  • Fiberglass Garage Doors - Similar to steel garage doors, fiberglass residential garage doors do not require much maintenance.  Weather-resistant, these doors can withstand temperature and humidity fluctuations without the appearance of cracks.  To maintain their look you can generally wash the doors twice a year with some mild detergent.  If we now look into the types of fiberglass residential garage doors we can see that there are basically two types. They are:
  1. Tilt-up: These types of garage doors come as a single panel of material.  To open the door, you must pull and pivot the panel up until it slides up along the garage roof, or it can be electically operated.

  2. Sectional roll-up: These doors come in horizontal sections with each section hinged on to the next one facilitating a lot of flexibility. The sectional roll-up door rest completely on rollers, so that rolling open the door requires little effort.
